A partnership to foster Enterprise imaging and pathology for oncology. The collaboration intends to bring a data management solution by interfacing Tribun’s Health Suite data with GE Healthcare’s products.
FREMONT, CA: The partnership between GE Healthcare and Tribun Health aims to offer digital pathology departmental solutions that allow healthcare providers a more comprehensive view of patient records. By integrating Tribun's Health Suite data with GE Healthcare's solutions, such as GE Healthcare's vendor-neutral archive (VNA), and Edison Datalogue, the alliance hopes to deliver a data management solution. It is anticipated to concentrate on integrating digital pathology images and results into the imaging patient record within the VNA, making quicker and more accurate pathology reports available through Tribun's Health Suite's artificial intelligence (AI) and promoting collaboration between pathologists and clinicians through the availability of data in a single location. Especially in oncology, having access to pathology data is essential for fostering collaboration and accelerating diagnosis. Healthcare that is driven by data is quickly taking hold of the market. Additionally, the demand for AI research to enable early cancer detection is driven by the global scarcity of clinicians and the rise in oncology cases1. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of GE Healthcare's Enterprise Digital Solutions, says, “The oncology treatment route is one of the most complex with several steps requiring a range of specialists, complex tools, frequent judgments, and massive data sets. “With this collaboration in digital pathology, we go one step closer to streamlining the oncology treatment pathway by enhancing data management, digitising pathology, and streamlining data access. To accomplish this goal and further GE Healthcare's corporate strategy of bringing clinical depth and AI to the point of treatment, Tribun Health is a crucial partner,” he adds. To streamline the oncology care route across the organisation and help clinical teams provide the best care to their patients, GE Healthcare and Tribun Health offer complimentary technologies. GE Healthcare's system for managing patient data, images, and enterprise imaging material is called Edison Datalogue. A leading end-to-end computational pathology for diagnosis, prognosis, and drug development is the Tribun Health Suite, powered by AI. GE Healthcare can now provide a complete patient data management solution with the addition of the pathology suite. Jean-François Pomerol, CEO of Tribune Health, was pleased with the implementation of this agreement with GE Healthcare, which builds on existing partnerships between their companies. The ability to simply link between CaloPix, the standard solution for digital pathology, and GE's Enterprise Imaging technologies will enable them to provide their customers with a solution that will advance clinical research, interoperability of healthcare data, and collaboration amongst physicians.
