As an audiologist at Riley Children’s Health, Smith plays a key role in delivering diagnostic services and individualized hearing solutions for young patients in Indianapolis. Since joining the team in June 2024, she has focused on ensuring timely detection and effective intervention for hearing challenges. Her clinical expertise is matched by her empathy and ability to guide families, helping them understand how hearing health impacts a child’s development and education.
Smith’s connection to Riley Children’s Health began earlier, during her Audiology Clinical Externship from May 2023 to May 2024. That experience provided hands-on exposure to complex pediatric cases, reinforcing her passion for working with children. Her training also includes clinical internships at respected institutions such as Entaa Care in Maryland and the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore.
Bridging Clinical Excellence and Education
Her time at Gallaudet University further strengthened her commitment to education and mentorship. Serving as a peer mentoring program instructor and academic tutor, she supported fellow students promoted collaborative learning and refined her leadership and teaching skills. These formative experiences continue to influence her clinical approach today.

Smith began her academic journey at Purdue University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. She went on to complete her Doctor of Audiology at Gallaudet University, an institution known for its leadership in hearing and speech sciences.
