Medical Care Review: Selection Methodology

Program Objective

The “Top Clinics, Therapy Centers & Care Providers” and related recognitions by Medical Care Review aim to identify healthcare providers across the medical care sector that demonstrate leadership in treatment quality, patient support, and care effectiveness. The program covers clinics, therapy centers, and specialized care providers supporting individuals and families in addressing physical and mental health needs, improving outcomes, and navigating the complexities of modern healthcare, alongside organizations delivering rehabilitation, chronic care management, diagnostics, and multidisciplinary treatment services. It also recognizes providers advancing care coordination, patient support programs, and integrated care delivery models. By highlighting organizations driving clinical excellence, patient outcomes, and continuity of care, we showcase the providers essential to modern healthcare delivery.

The Selection Framework

Our research team, in collaboration with the Medical Care Review Editorial Board, an external panel of healthcare professionals, practitioners and subscriber-driven nominations, employs a Patient Care and Treatment Value Assessment Model to identify and recognize care providers delivering meaningful value to patients and the broader healthcare ecosystem. Subscriber input plays an important role in the process, highlighting clinics and care centers that patients, caregivers and professionals would recommend based on real-world experiences and outcomes.

Nominees are scored on a scale of 1–100 across the following four criteria:

Quality of Care and Treatment Outcomes (30%)

Assessment focuses on the effectiveness of treatments, clinical practices, patient progress and the ability to deliver consistent and reliable care across different medical and therapeutic settings.

Patient Experience and Support Systems (25%)

The editorial board examines how well care providers support patients through accessibility, communication, guidance and overall experience throughout the treatment journey.

Specialization and Treatment Approach Fit (25%)

Scoring considers how effectively providers address specific conditions or needs through structured treatment approaches, practitioner expertise and alignment with patient requirements.

Reputation and Patient Trust (20%)

Strong candidates demonstrate confidence among patients, caregivers and healthcare communities through recommendations, patient feedback, practitioner credibility and recognition as dependable care providers.

The "Bona Fide" Editorial Process

• Stage 1: Multi-Source Nomination: Candidates are identified through patient, caregiver and subscriber recommendations, healthcare engagements and independent research conducted by the Medical Care Review editorial team.

• Stage 2: Editorial & Clinical Review: Shortlisted care providers are assessed using publicly available information, clinical context and, where applicable, additional non-proprietary inputs shared voluntarily.

• Stage 3: Final Adjudication: Final selections are made by the Editorial Advisory Board, comprising healthcare professionals, practitioners and analysts, following a comprehensive review of each provider’s care approach, relevance and overall impact.
